I had 2 visits to the general hospital in 2 consecutive days. No thanks to the hospital personnel for losing my specimen bottle or what they claimed on the phone, my specimen bottle had a leakage. Oh ya, they called me at 1 a.m. by the way.

BP was humid, hot and not even a drop of rain for the past 10 days. Almost a couch potato but I still go for my random coffee session with just myself and that's the only time I step out of the house.

A few meet-ups with the usual ones on some random nights. No more quirky jokes on campus life, or the funny movie we watched. A bit on the comical political scene, more on jobs seeking, post-grad and that's pretty much what's revolved around our teh-tarik and roti canai.

I am addicted to food documentaries and travelogue on TV. Not forgetting the expired amazing race Asia which is still quite amusing.

And now on the pictures. I lugged my camera back home and it was under-utilized. Once, and that's about it. By the beach for the sunset with WY, who promised amazing views at around 6.30pm.

It was a breezy evening by the beach with a few kids swimming, and a handful watching the sunsets.

We walked past the Chinese settlement towards the wooden bridge at the end of the road, with tinge of fishy aroma and sights of fish sunbathing on the rattan basket. A place popular for seafood as well, and that brought me here 4 years ago.

So, I am now back at KL, Penang next.

and halfway through 2009.

Anyway, the last 7 days were eventful. From random jogging session, meet-ups, announcement of last semester's result, Raleigh International Introduction Weekend (IW), my birthday and a good soak in the hot spring, in the middle of the night.

and so, the week wheezes through and I'm kinda missing the fun and craze.

Chronologically,

The jogs and hike made me realize I'm seriously physically unfit.

Last semester result's, a disappointment to me, but I should be grateful I'm going into the final year of my pharmacy undergrad.

It was an impromptu decision to IW, and I had fun, swimming and bathing in the river, meeting up friends and learnt that I sucked at game facilitation. Anyway, thanks to IW too, I had my 0606 birthday in the jungle, with burnt rice as cake. It was a great weekend in the jungle and by the river, with great and fun people.

The post mortem meeting for IW ended at 9.30pm on Sunday, and we headed south to the hot spring at about 11 pm. It was full moon, the sky was brightly lit, and the water was piping hot!.

Meet ups and farewell for SC, who's leaving to Australia for a year to work and travel. And a group picture to end the first week of June.

So, everyone's back on track, to commitments and work. Some back to the daily routine of classes and labs, some flying off to travel and for projects.

And as for me, I guess I'll be going back home tomorrow (finally). Back to the days of brutally pressing the TV remote, ceiling fan gazing and brisk walking around the house to kill time.

Just kidding. I want to finish a book, meet up old friends, tweak my biological clock and probably exercise.

Sabar for another 1.5 weeks and I'm on the go again.

The initial plan was supposed to be an early morning hike but we got lost somewhere in Bangi and thus, we watched sun rising in the car, on the way to Semenyih.

It was Sunday morning.

The worn down jetty at Merang, build on trunks and planks. We waited for about 30minutes before boarding the speedboat and it was a bumpy boat ride.

Sun was scorching hot and we scurried into the resort and chucked our stuff away. Strolled along the beach with my camera just before lunch.

Went for the first snorkeling trip after lunch, and it was the exact site which I scuba dived 3 years ago. The first glance when I slap my face into the water was fishes and some dead looking corals. Swam further and the sight wasn't as pleasant as what I've saw 3 years ago.

So, I skipped the rest of the snorkeling trips, sparring myself from disheartening sights and gave myself a good rest. Literally, I was sleeping in the room most of the time. Lol

Had an early birthday celebration with the other May and June babies. Cakes, red wine and a live band.

Ended the day with a long exposure shot of the other brightly lit resort.

I watched and shot the sunrise alone at the beach at 6am the next morning. It was the best-est moment of the holiday because it was quiet, tranquil, breezy and picturesque.

I spent the rest of the day sleeping, chilling by the beach, volleyball and photography. Booze and groove at the resort bar at night before calling it a day.

It was a rush on the final day as we are leaving on the earliest boat to Merang. Pestered the bus driver at the jetty to stop us at the keropok lekor stall for more lekor-licking-good crackers. Lol.

Then, a 6 hours bus ride to KL, with a haywire air-conditioned system.

A word to sum these up: Memorable. :)

We flew to Kuala Terengganu, the land of nasi dagang and keropok lekor the day right after Pharmacy Night. The flight was merely 10 minutes less of an hour, and we landed at about 9.

Thanks to CW's hospitality, we've got a van to ferry us from airport and spread of local KT delicacies at her house.

Rice with fragrance of coconut milk, bean sprouts and fenugreek seeds.

Pick, dip, bite. :)

We laze around her house, channel surfing, cards, not long before everyone went to bed.

Shot this orchid at the small garden compound next to the porch before we leave to the resort office.

Had breakfast at Kampung Cina before rushing onto the bus which was leaving for the jetty at Merang, a town about an hour away from KT.

So, to the island we sail. :)

An event, brainchild of the current board,

Months of preparation, and finally, the show was up running on the 25th of May.

It was an oath taking ceremony for the graduating students, and a prom, a night for everyone to doll up and have fun.

Everyone looked gorgeous that night, especially the ladies with make-ups, hairdo and evening gowns.

While waiting for the VIPs to arrive.

The graduating seniors with the VIPs, Head of School and lecturers who attended the event.

In between, we had performances from the juniors, us and a magic show presentation by Lai, a medical student. Pharm king and queen was crowned as well that night.

Despite some gawky junctures, the event went smoothly as planned.

I sang that night, and i think that moment was probably a mental torment and definitely fits 'the funniest home video's'.

Anyway, everyone had fun. So, do I.

Redang next! :)

So I am left with 1 final paper to end this semester.

I am not exactly ecstatic about the end of finals and beginning of holiday.

The ulcer in mouth are killing me. One at the tip of the tongue and another at the connector between upper and lower lips. So, pain felt even when I open my mouth. What's more when I talk, eat and drink? and when I brush my teeth too. Ouch

Life is full of uncertainties. Most of them are actually melancholic. But I guess that's how maturity is instilled. Fall and learn.

And problems too. Shuffling between the uncertainties, and maybe a day or two of sunshine. The garlic and ginger of life? Whatever it may be, life goes on.

Shot this bug a few days ago. It stood still on the wall for hours even after I go to bed.

But it wasn't there when I woke up the next morning.

So, did I swallow it? Goodness. Lol

It's a breezy Saturday morning. I could hear alarm clock and kids giggling at the playground.

Was wide awake since yesterday night, and that explains how that butterfly above was dug out from the hundreds of photo folders I have.

Fingers, toes and butt check crossed for upcoming papers, 4 to be exact, :p

Time to bury my head in notes, and maybe a cup of hot coffee.

The sky had a discreet downpour this afternoon, like finally. The pressure I'm having now and the earth temperature somehow turns my tiny room into an autoclave.

An hour to Friday, 3 days to the first paper. The clock sprints pretty fast this week. I could barely recall which day is which and it does not matter if the sun rises or not. My circadian rhythm is in a total mess. I can be wide awake at 5.00am, having my brunch at 1pm and hits the bed for a quick nap at 9.30pm.

I hope it works. Alternating with kopi-O which I'm starting to like the bitterness that tyrannize the posterior portion of my tongue. Apart from the mundane customary, we had a simple birthday celebration for the early May babies.

Anyway, I'm stealing time to work this post out before another hiatus for the finals.I doubt flying colors as I've basically fumbled in all the quizzes I had earlier. Nevertheless,

Maybe?

Thanks to Nuffnang, I've gotten myself 2 passes to Hennessy Artistry yesterday, at The Loft.

Collected my entry passes at the Loft from Sue before making our way into The Loft. Had a drink before making our way to Upstairs.

And the party featuring Caprice, Star Angels and VJ Spacebar!

The music, crowd and beat boxing was so damn cool!

If I were to pick the favorite in my bad habit list, it will definitely be procrastination.

Anyway, Tuesday marks the end of this semester. A week's time to mug before the finals. Survived with caffeine on Monday night for the last quiz on Tuesday and spent the whole afternoon off practicing for the upcoming Pharm Night.

And that's for dinner.

I've finally sourced out Okuribito and watched it.

I think Wikipedia has a very comprehensive synopsis and plot description on this movie.

A great movie to sit back and enjoy. Like how I did, 130 minutes ago. :)

A quick getaway from exams for a 1.5 hour modern band ensemble at the school recital hall yesterday night. Had about 40 frames without flash, low light and the gist of the concert is to unwind. So, I don't really give a damn about running around the stage (probably not allowed as well) to get the best angle. I stuck my butt on the cushioned chair for the whole session.

Was wondering the effect of colored spot lights on b&w photography and thus, had 2 b&w shots when the red colored spot light was directing at the performer.
