A Documentary of Life, Thoughts and Photographs

Of Life and Clerkship

Friday, August 29, 2008

Sneaked back home last week for community pharmacy clerkship, home cooked food and olympics. Clerkship was tiring. 12 hours a day for 3 consecutive days. This somehow disrupt my initial thoughts of laying on the sofa, munching chips and hop on random olympic channels on astro. I was like a dead fish everyday after 10pm. Anyway, still managed to have a decent meal with my family and watched Leona Lewis and Jimmy Page live.

Clerkship was informative. More than just completing the required assignments on the manual. Preceptor was kind enough to guide and hands on experience certainly worth more than hours of lectures in theaters and halls. From drug addicts looking for dextromethorphan to patients with streak of humor and vein of stubbornness. For the first time I felt what I've studies for the past 2++ years are kinda useful although I leeched myself to BNF and MIMS most of the time.

Had a talk with the overseer of the pharmacy and topics revolved around future of pharmacist, dispensing separation and rights. Big topics eh?

Well, that was 7 days ago.

It has been rather hectic after clerkship. Mundane routine, 2 pending reports and 2 back-to-back quizzes next week. Another 1 the week after next. Period. Not going to ramble how boring life is.

So the best man won PP by election. September's going to be interesting. Petrol price, inflations, politics, Malaysia day, yadda yadda.
